My sensors have not been working for months. I kept calling but they only wanted to talk about what I owe. I asked to be cancelled and was told I had to pay the full term or transfer this to someone else. Why would I tranfer non working equipment to someone else. Steer clear of Protect America! They have faulty equipment. It was very rare that my system worked at a stretch without any glitches. I was tired of having to constantly call in about the equipment. Was always placed on very long holds and even then they took their sweet time to resolve my problem. They're a headache. After my contract with them was over, I switched to Armorax. I did business with this company since 2010. I was broken into 5 separate times and not once was the response time quick enough to stop the burglary. I closed the business and called to cancel the service. you have to send a letter to cancel. Can't do it over the internet or by phone. I phoned PA on 1/16/15 wanting to cancel my alarm services. I was told my policy had reached its termination date as of 11/2014. The rep transferred me to the cancellation dept. They simply have cheap equipment. I had multiple false alarms, all of which had to be treated as real alarms and i'd have to come rushing home from where I was. Their remotes kept failing, keypads, etc. Finally, I just stopped having them replaced and just shoved them in a drawer. But of course you can't cancel because you signed a contract. My house alarm was on for about 5 minutes (my mistake). I called Protect America to inquire why no one called me to confirm the alarm. They asked me to test the system again while on the phone. I have had their system since May,2014, My home was broken into while using their service I was on vacation and the only reason i knew my home was broken into was my mother went over to check on a few things while i was gone. They sell you a service that you can't cancel while not in use. You are unable to sell back the equipment after use so that they resell it as refurbished. Different departments had different pass codes for me causing issues with verification when I set off a false alarm because communication is not handled properly within the company.
