I signed up with Protect America back in July of 2014. Since then I had to move out of the home that I was renting and had to move into an apartment with my daughter and her husband who already have an alarm system so we cannot use this one that I have. Don't believe any of their sales hype claiming they're approved by the BBB because they're not accredited. Does not mean they're not a BBB member, simply means if they've not applied for accreditation. Protect America are crooks. I used the service for 3 years and went on vacation and apparently we had a power outage and I was burglarized during the outage and was never contacted by the monitoring service. I am so upset with this company but I should have been an active consumer as well so in really read my contract. So, I take full responsibility for that problem. But, I was told to send an email to confirm my cancelled plan, and I did so. Another victim of Protect America cancellation policy. I called to cancel my alarm service but they said I had to write a letter or send an email. So they said I need to send the email to cancelrequest@protectamerica.com. Thus far I have tried twice to send an email but they both came back. I have had Protect America for three years, did not have any problems with them until I tried to cancel. It took me 5 days to get to the right person then I still have to send a E-Mail and still want to charge me for another month.
