Don't believe any of their sales hype claiming they're approved by the BBB because they're not accredited. Does not mean they're not a BBB member, simply means if they've not applied for accreditation. I had PAI (Protect America, Inc.,) for 13 months, during that time frame, it took them 6 months to send me contractual agreement and notification that I needed to register with the city (never owned an alarm before, no one told me this beforehand). Only received that alarm permit info after I complained, which was 6 months later. Next week actually had an attempted break-in, and the attempt was unsuccessful, but PAI did not contact the Police. Few weeks later the alarm tripped again, no call. So, I gotten smart let's see if PAI really monitors as promised. I had intentionally active the alarm while the PD dispatcher watched the board for incoming call. No call was received for 4 days. On the 4th day a get an unknown name appear on phone ID called Critcom out of Florida calls to say they had notification of Panic alarm button pushed, we've tried to call for several days with no answer. I said, no sir you've got the wrong address. Had no clue who this business was, and was reluctant to answer any of their questions because nobody had pushed any buttons, and we've been here for the last 2 weeks. Oddly, ones must lie to get approval ratings. Then I thought later, I've seen that name somewhere recently Critcom. So, go check my files, and yes, PAI had them listed as Alarm Business Monitoring Alarm System, located in Florida.

Now if PAI is a great as they state why are they sending confidential info about my family to Florida, with an unknown contractor to do what they told me they did from Texas? I did not give them permission to release confidential information, then get to looking through those other pages, and found where they had printed my name as Applicant Signature as if I made the agreement in person. When questioned their action for an answer their representative pause, as if he was without words then said, "you signed electronically." I said that is correct, but not the name as you have showing. Young man don't play me, if your employer demands such wrongdoing you should seek an attorney while finding another place of employment. I'll take care of PAI, don't get involved in something just to keep your job, can assure you PAI will deny, and leave you the culprit.

Look at the Alarm Permit, look at the name on the Bank Card, that's how I sign my name; someone forged a signature, stop hesitating for employer; your recording me, and I am recording too. PAI rep. never replied, Click. The PAI CSR (Customer Service Rep) hung up.

Great Scotty OK you demand recording for your employees to keep their jobs, I record too, so I can protect my interest. Isn't that what is refer to as the Golden Rule. "Do unto others as they do unto you.", or is that the Bible - Can't be the Bible because you are great at mistreating others especially disabled veterans; isn't that germane Scott Fleming, big man executive officer. Great Scott you're a CEO, but if I could I would say on this site what I think you really are, this is the only time I wished I lived near Austin.

Former customers, thinking of becoming a customer, Caveat Emptor: Beware. A company of any size that has 459 complaints in one year, I'd be a bit concerning. Does not matter if resolve or not, BBB does not post complaints that are not legit. Next time I'll check before getting involved again with anyone. I learned my lesson that home security monitoring system are really not what customers expected, especially when you had a robbery attempt, and no one was told of such event occurring. Think about it according to studies 8 to 12 minutes robberies are gone with personal memories; and, all PAI could say is "we apology." Not good enough Scott Fleming.

Reason of review: Poor customer service.

Monetary Loss: $692.

Preferred solution: Leave the US market, as in get out of this country if you all going to mistreat others for profits..

Protect America Cons: Being lied too constantly, No need to apology, If your wrong admit it.

Location: Montgomery, Alabama

I agree with you. I had 3 false alarms I had with this system.

There are no service technicians available to assist you. I ask for the contract. However, it took a week only by e-mail. The contract was an e-sign which they donโ€™t send a congratulations or confirmation number.

All they do is type your name which it should be hand written signature that should only be valid. This is obvious itโ€™s a scam. That's why I wrote a letter of complaint to licensing of state of Texas and consumer affairs.

I think you should do the same file a complaint form chap 1702. Google txdp.state.tx.us or (512)424-**** and they will assist you.
