VERY UNSATISFIED
Preferred solution: get the physical address now and write a lettr of cancellation. I see this will take some time but i dont have too much more patience

Cancel Protect America
Another victim of Protect America cancellation policy. I called to cancel my alarm service but they said I had to write a letter or send an email.
So they said I need to send the email to cancelrequest@***.com. Thus far I have tried twice to send an email but they both came back. Now I will have to contact them again to find the correct address to send the email to.
Such a pain to work with this company. They like to get your money but have no interest in providing excellent service.

Protect America
These people are a nightmare when trying to cancel or cease monitoring. I canceled in April and here it is August, and I'm still getting billed for services that I shouldn't have had.
They keep saying that the air was on my part and I have spoken to five people thus far, and I finally told them they were not getting paid, and that I was going to ignore every bill they sent me. They threatened to send it to collections, and I told them the law was that I do not deal with collections; I deal with the company with whom I had the dispute. I am returning their bill with a cease and desist note,and I do not plan on hearing from them again. Do not obtain services from Protect America.
There is equipment is subpar, and they do not let their customers guy! This is the way they make their extra money after the three-year contract has ended, and you request cancellation.
Preferred solution: Them stop harassing me and write it off!

It may be in the original agreement you sign but after that really who has that readily available to review so you got to their website and this is what you get.At Protect America, the standard procedure to cancel your home security contract is to call this number: 800-951-****, option 4. Our customer CARE representatives will do everything they can to access your situation and resolve any outstanding concerns. We may ask you what has changed since you signed up initially, and if there are any existing problems that we could assist you with instead of canceling. If you need better equipment or monitoring, we will be happy to upgrade you.
If you are not at the end of your term and you still wish to cancel, there are penalties for not completing the agreement. Any customer who wants to cancel their contract earlier than the agreement allows will have to pay out the remainder of their balance due.

Of course it takes more than a half hour to get through and one department can not answer your problems. All they do is try to get more payments from you.
