When I relocated to a rental property in April 2016, I decided to get an alarm since rental property did not have one. I wasn't sure how long I would rent, but the self install system sounded pretty simple.

Well fast forward, life happens and I needed to move 18months later. Unfortunately, I was not moving into my own place and the home I was moving to already had a security system. I called Protect America to advise them of this. Their response: 1- Take it with you and install: (Did you not hear, the homeowner already has an alarm system 2- Leave it or find someone else to take over the account(Again, did you not hear, I was in a rental) I asked for an exception as I didn't expect to move.

The answer was NO, we can not cancel. So, BEWARE.

If you have a contract, you can not cancel and they will continue to bill you This company is a RIPOFF. I WILL NEVER REFER ANYONE TO THE SERVICES

I didn't like: Cancellation policy, Call customer service every 30days to maually test each zone.
